Where is the line is between spam and networking?

The difference between spam and networking: sometimes  people post  on my Facebook wall assuming that my wall is their soapbox, or they assume that my knowledge of their existence will send me to iTunes, Amazon, etc. with an open wallet?

Of course, Facebook is great for networking...especially for poets who are usually too few, too far between.

Where do you think the line is between spam and networking?

  1. Hi, Gene, So far, I've been blessed to have to deal with just networking... Perhaps the spammers don't think I'm important enough to spam. Thankfully. But I have noticed a marked increase in my e-mail spam since started blogging. So far my spam guard catches most of them. I do take pains to try to protect myself from obnoxious respondents though... and if a post is not in English I won't admit it... I have no way of knowing what they are all about.
    Good luck with the spam.
